Rockingham County Animal Shelter Trail

The trail is located at the lower end of the parking lot of the Rockingham County Animal Shelter. This natural surface trail was the first of its kind created by DRBA specifically for a county animal shelter and inspired DRBA's "Tails on Trails" initiative to create wooded trails for animal shelters. The public is welcome to visit the shelter and inquire about taking a shelter dog for a walk on this beautiful forested path. The trail is made possible by grant funding from REI and support from Rockingham County and DRBA members.
