Wetlands Boardwalk Trail

at Haw River State Park

The Boardwalk Trail at Haw River State Park is a spur trail off the Piedmont Loop Trail. Follow the Piedmont Loop Trail, look for the River Overlook signs and at the gas line easement take a left

 

Description

The Boardwalk takes you through the Haw River wetlands, giving you a close encounter with a unique North Carolina ecosystem and a glimpse of the headwaters of the Haw River.

 

Points of Interest

NC Birding Trail destination. Benches located before the start of the boardwalk, benches on the boardwalk & an observation deck with benches at the end of the boardwalk overlooking the river.

Park Hours

Monday - Friday: 8am to 5pm

Closed most state holidays.
