Permanent Medicine Dropbox Locations in Rockingham County

Partnership for Success was awarded a grant from SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) with the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services for reducing prescription drug misuse in Rockingham County.  Our target population is youth 12-25 years of age. We need to reach as many as we can to help with this issue. There are medication drop boxes located around the county, the locations include: Eden Police Department, Madison Police Department, Reidsville Police Department, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s department, and our newest location at Stoneville Police Department. We want to spread awareness about the dangers that can be caused if prescription drugs if used non-medically, the proper way of disposing of medications, and locking up medications at home.

Insight Human Services in Rockingham County offer Adolescent Substance Abuse Outpatient Program treatment services-Contact person is Frances Browne, LCAS, CSI direct phone number is: 336-342-8440.

Also Adult Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program is offered 3 days per week, 3 hours per day, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Contact person is Stan Holder, LCAS-A direct phone number is: 336-342-8331. Treatment services are located in the Daymark building.

Substance abuse assessments for both adolescents and adults are conducted by licensed staff.

Medicine Drop Box Locations

Drop your medicines safely, no questions asked.

Accepted items include: Expired or unwanted prescription medications, unknown tablets or capsules, unwanted over –the-counter medications, veterinary medications.

We do not accept: Liquids, thermometers, needles or syringes, medical waste of any type, non-medical chemicals of any type, bathroom products such as personal hygiene items.
